From the reading: The Day the Sun Disappears

On the evening of Wednesday 12 August 2026, something extraordinary will happen above Ireland. Just after 6pm, the Moon will begin to move in front of the Sun, blocking its light and turning afternoon into an eerie twilight. The eclipse will last for about two hours, and Ireland will not see another one like it until 2090. So if you miss this one, you will have to wait a very long time.
