Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive of Meta, has bought Strancally Castle and its 440-acre estate in County Waterford, Ireland. He and his wife, Priscilla Chan, plan to use the property as a base when visiting the country, where Meta maintains its international headquarters. A spokesperson confirmed the purchase, saying the family looks forward to spending time there and continuing to care for the historic home. The exact price was not made public, but the Irish Times estimated the estate was worth between €20 million and €30 million — roughly 10% of the cost of Zuckerberg's 387-foot superyacht.
