From the reading: The Pub, the Tune, and the Silence Between
On a wet Tuesday evening in Doolin, a village on the west coast of Ireland, a fiddle player walks into a pub and sits down without saying much. A flute player arrives, then a bodhrán player, then someone with a concertina. Nobody has booked the room. Nobody has printed a programme. Within ten minutes, music has started — the same music that has moved through this corner of the world for centuries.
