From the reading: The Future Is for Everyone
Somewhere in the architecture of every major technological shift — the printing press, the steam engine, the personal computer — lies the same unresolved argument: who does this belong to? Mark Zuckerberg, writing in Meta's August 2026 manifesto, plants his flag firmly on one side. Superintelligence, he argues, must be distributed to everyone, or it will corrupt everything. The essay is both a corporate vision statement and a philosophical provocation, and it is worth taking seriously on both counts.
