Ireland has always had a special relationship with matchmaking. Every September, the small town of Lisdoonvarna in County Clare hosts a month-long matchmaking festival, which has been running for over 160 years. Traditionally, farmers came to town to find a partner, and a matchmaker named Willie Daly still helps people today. He keeps a famous lucky book of names, and he says he has matched thousands of couples over the decades.
