From the reading: Ireland's Haunted Trail
Every October, a strange kind of tourism wakes up across Ireland. Tour guides unlock gates that stay shut the rest of the year, and visitors queue to hear stories that have survived for centuries. Ireland has been lived in for over 10,000 years, which means its castles, cemeteries and coastlines have absorbed more than their share of tragedy. Some of that history, locals insist, never quite left.
