Double comparative

Use the...the + comparative in both clauses. The more you practise, the more confident you become. Both clauses rise or fall together.

Modified as...as

Place nearly, just, twice, or three times before as...as. This version is twice as fast as the original. Modifiers sit before the first as.

Far / considerably

Intensify a comparative with far or considerably. The new model is considerably more efficient than the old one. Much and a lot also work informally.

Common error

The situation is more better now. ✗ → The situation is much better now. ✓ Never combine more with a short comparative adjective.
