Name Your Sale

Write what you sell — or what you want to sell. Be specific: a product, a service, yourself as a professional, or an idea you regularly pitch to others.

Logic vs. Emotion

Where does your current pitch land on this axis? Mark honestly — where do you spend most of your sales energy right now?

Pure logic (specs, price, data)

Pure emotion (identity, aspiration, belonging)

Product vs. Promise

Nike sells shoes; the promise is 'you are an athlete.' Where does your offer sit — are you selling the object or the transformation? Mark where you are, then mark where your best customers think you are.

The physical product or service

The life, identity, or outcome it enables

Visible vs. Hidden Value

Natura's visible offer is skincare; its hidden offer is economic agency and community. Look back at step 1 — what is the hidden value in what you sell that you almost never mention in your pitch? Mark how often you make it visible.

The Pattern

Look at your three marks together. Do they lean left, right, or split? Name the single word that describes what you are REALLY selling — not the product, but the deeper thing. Then write one sentence explaining why that word is true.

Discuss Share your word from step 5 with a partner — does it surprise them, or did they already sense it?
