From the reading: The Question That Backfired
In 2009, Reed Hastings, who co-founded Netflix in 1997, published an internal slide deck that would later be viewed more than 20 million times online. Buried inside it was an uncomfortable claim: traditional job interviews, he argued, were poor predictors of future performance. Hastings believed that a confident answer in an one-hour conversation told managers almost nothing about how someone would actually behave under pressure, deadlines, or disagreement.
