From the reading: Who Does What: Reading a Company Directory
Across the world, companies publish 'About Us' pages to introduce their teams. A 2023 LinkedIn study of 4,000 company profiles found that 78% of global firms now list job titles in English — even when the company itself operates in Japanese, Arabic, or Portuguese. The title Head of Operations appears in directories from Seoul to São Paulo. Yet behind the same title, the responsibilities differ enormously from one country to the next.
