From the reading

It is the Marais, arguably, that best represents Paris in its contradictions. What many visitors overlook is the cluster of free municipal museums nearby. What no travel article can fully prepare you for is the city's commitment to the long meal.

Grammar: Cleft Sentences

It-cleft
Used to highlight one element. It was Marie Curie that made the Panthéon famous for me. Always: It + be + focus + that-clause.
Wh-cleft (what-cleft)
Fronts the unknown, then reveals it. What strikes visitors first is the city's density. Subject: what-clause. Complement: the new information.
