Subject + past verb. Regular: add -ed. They walked to the cathedral.

Negative form

Subject + did not + base verb. She did not visit the museum.

Question form

Did + subject + base verb? Did you eat tapas?

Irregular verbs

Some verbs change completely. go → went, see → saw, take → took
