Comparatives (-er /

Saffron is more expensive than pepper. — use -er for short adjectives, more for long ones.

Superlatives (-est /

That is the longest noodle in the world. — use the + -est or the most before the adjective.

As...as (equal)

This rice dish is as good as the truffle. — use as + adjective + as to show two things are equal.

Not as...as (unequal)

Pepper is not as expensive as saffron. — use not as + adjective + as to show one
