Pick one real business decision you face — or have recently faced — and use the seven economic indicators as a diagnostic lens.

Write the decision most people in your position would make without thinking hard. One sentence.

Attack the obvious

Look back at step 3. Does the indicator you labelled 'background noise' actually threaten the obvious answer? Name the cost or risk it ignores.

The hidden trade-off

Name the single trade-off your obvious answer was hiding. Write it as a tension: 'We gain ___ but we risk ___.' Then choose ONE word that captures what you were avoiding seeing.
